When was the Statue of Liberty built?

The Statue of Liberty, an iconic symbol of United States that represents Libertas, a Roman Goddess, was built on 28th October 1986 in Liberty Island, NY, U.S. by a joint venture of French and American people. A French architect and sculptor, Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi designed the statue. In 1984 UNESCO designated it as a World Heritage Site.
